Our Company is Mariposa Energía. This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

We ask for this information so that we can contact you to discuss our services. When you make a request to be contacted about Energy Switch we also ask for a copy of your electricity bill.

In order to provide you with an accurate quote that will save you money we need to review your:
- Typical energy consumption
- Hired potencia (the amount of power you can use at any one time)
- Current access tariff
How to provide us with your energy bill?
We provide you with the option to upload your electricity bill via the website to make the process quicker and easier for you. When you complete one of our forms for energy switch on our website you will see the option to browse and upload or drag and drop your energy bill.
You will also be given a second opportunity to upload the bill via our website when you receive your confirmation email from us.
Uploading your electricity bill is optional. If you prefer you can email it direct to your Mariposa Energía adviser (who will be assigned to you after completing one of our forms), to info@mariposaenergia.es or by bringing it directly to our offices.
How your bill is stored and used?
When you upload your electricity bill it is stored in our secure database in our website and it is also delivered to us by email. Your dedicated energy adviser at Mariposa Energía will then use your bill to conduct a study and to produce a quote. A simulation tool is used to conduct the study and to produce your quote. None of your data is stored or saved within the simulation tool.
What information we will see?
The following information appears on your energy bill.
- Your name
- Your address
- Your current energy supplier
- Your access tariff
- Your CUPs number
- Your hired potencia
- Your energy consumption

This information is necessary in order for us to conduct our duties as an energy broker and to supply you with a quote.
By uploading your bill to our website you are providing us with consent to use this information in the above stated manner. You can revoke this consent at any time, or request that this information is deleted from our systems, by writing to us at:

The information supplied on your energy bill is for viewing purposes only. By receiving a copy of your bill we can NOT access your account, we can NOT make any changes to your current account NOR access any other information about you or your current electricity account, without your prior consent.
Marketing
When you complete a contact form on our website you are given the option to opt in to receive occasional information and offers from Mariposa Energía. If you have agreed to receive marketing communications you may opt out at any time. You can do this by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link which appears at the bottom of all our marketing emails or by contacting us.
